Monica is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed to prescribe psychiatric medication and engage in psychotherapy with adults. As a nurse in the mental health field for over 20 years, Monica prides herself as a patient, empathic and introspective practitioner who views clients in a holistic manner. She works in a collaborative manner with her clients to find optimal solutions to mental health issues.   Together they come up with a treatment plan that encompasses all aspects of a client's life. 

Monica is a judicious and conscientious prescriber of medication and feels when clinically indicated, medication can serve a useful purpose for symptom management.  Additionally, she is a strong advocate for therapy and it's long lasting effects, specifically EMDR therapy.  Monica is an EMDRIA Certified therapist and an EMDR Consultant.  The current focus of  medication management is on symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD and mood disorders.

Additionally, Monica is adjunct faculty at Fairfield University.
